komish
Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 October 2026
Komish is a booking and commission app for hospitality promoters and concierges in Dubai. It is operated by Sixth Sense Intelligence FZCO, Dubai, UAE (“we”), which is responsible for your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, who receives it and the choices you have. Komish is for adults aged 21 and over.
What we collect
- Account: your username, a securely hashed password, and the name you choose to show on the leaderboard. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and, if you share them, your name and email.
- Profile (optional): phone number, email, nationality and languages you add yourself.
- Profile photo (optional): a photo you add in Profile. Other members see it next to your name on the leaderboard. You can remove it at any time.
- Bank details (optional): account holder, bank, IBAN and SWIFT, used only to pay your commission.
- Bookings: venue, date, time, number of guests, expected spend, table, any note, and your client’s name and (optionally) phone number and email, so the venue can hold the table. You should only enter a client’s details with their permission.
- Device: a push notification token if you allow notifications.
- Academy: your course progress, kept on your device.
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools in the app, we do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
How we use it
- To send your table requests to venues and tell you when they reply.
- To calculate commission, request invoices from venues and pay you.
- To show the monthly leaderboard (your chosen name, your photo if you add one, and your booked total).
- To check the monthly membership standard, prevent misuse and keep the service working.
We process this data to provide the service you signed up for, to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and for our legitimate interest in keeping Komish safe.
Who receives it
- Venues receive what they need to hold the table: guest name, party size, date, time, table, notes and the booking reference.
- Our accountant receives what is needed to invoice venues and pay you, including your bank details when you request a payout.
- Komish staff see bookings and accounts in our internal desk to run the service.
- Service providers that process data for us, only to run Komish:
- Cloudflare: app hosting and database;
- Amazon Web Services: the server that relays booking messages;
- Green API: delivers booking requests to venues’ WhatsApp booking groups and reads their replies;
- Anthropic: an AI service that reads a venue’s reply to work out whether a table is confirmed;
- Telegram: internal alerts to our staff about new requests;
- Migadu: email delivery;
- Expo and Apple: push notifications;
- Apple and Google: sign-in, if you choose them; Google also serves the app’s web fonts;
- Matterport: 360° venue tours, loaded only when you open one.
Some of these providers process data outside the UAE (for example in the EU or the US). We use them only under terms that protect your data.
Notifications
Booking notifications can include your client’s name, the venue and the date, and may show on your lock screen. You can change this in your phone’s notification settings.
Contacts, calendar, camera, photos and Face ID
If you pick a client from your contacts, only the contact you select is read. Adding a booking to your calendar happens on your device. The camera and photo library are used only when you choose a profile photo. Face ID is handled entirely by iOS; we never receive biometric data.
How long we keep it
- Account and profile data: while your account is open.
- Booking, commission and payout records: as long as needed for accounting and tax records, up to 7 years.
- Push tokens: until you sign out or delete your account.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or for a copy of it. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). This erases your profile, photo, sign-in, bank details and devices. Booking records are kept without your personal details where we and the venues need them for financial records. If you used Sign in with Apple, you can also stop using it for Komish in Settings → Apple ID → Sign in with Apple.
To make a request, email us. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
